How Can You Help?
There are many ways you can choose to help. With proper funding we can help alleviate the suffering.
"for whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap." Galatians 6:7
You can support the work in this ministry in several ways:
- Make a cash donation for general support.
- Sponsor a child with a $25.00 monthly gift
- Host a fundraiser for GIDCCO
- Have a garage sale, donate funds to GIDCCO.
- Start a donor circle. Any items for children are greatly appreciated.
- Gifts of clothing, shoes, school supplies, mosquito nets, cloth for the widows, and equipment, i.e. new or used computers, sewing machines.
- Offer your services as a volunteer. We greatly appreciate and welcome any and all volunteers. Long-term or short-term.
We understand that as an individual or the member of an organization you are asked frequently to give money. We know that it is important for you that your money is used wisely and effectively. One of the main strengths of our projects is that there is very little loss of resources and that you can see clearly the result of your donation. We act directly on the ground with volunteers or low paid workers.
GIDCCO is an independent Christian indigenous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and are registered with the government of Uganda. We are a private voluntary organization, which means we don't have to go through bribes, or political contributions (common practices here in East Africa). Our operations are modest and low-key. Please stand with us as we attempt to show a generation of orphans and widows that there is God who cares about them and loves them.
$25.00 per month, the amount most Americans spend on a single dinner, will send one of these orphaned children to school and provide them with food, clothing and other essential needs for a month.
A gift or financial contribution of yours can make a huge difference. You can make a huge impact in relieving and helping child victims of HIV/AIDS, street kids and widows to have access to better health care, nutritious food, formal and vocational education. Please help lift them out of poverty and thus to giving them more opportunities in the world, which they otherwise wouldn't have. We are in desperate need for volunteers, medical teams, social workers, mission boards, and anyone else who might be interested to visit the GIDCCO project area here in Uganda. Many opportunities exist for short term or long-term volunteers.
